For kids, Christmas is oftentimes meaningless without a Christmas gift. However, have you ever thought about so many kids who are not even bothered whether they get any gifts for Christmas? Wars, natural disasters and poverty are some of the things able to ruin the cheerful expressions from any kids on earth. To them, a plate filled with yesterday’s bread and a glass filled with uncontaminated water is more than enough to give them satisfaction. Life seems to be on the verge of a sword to some of these kids, and they wonder if there will be another day allowed for them to breathe and be alive.
Some of the older kids would gladly go to work in order to get enough money to buy one of the comforters on sale, just to have a warm bed for resting. Even if they have to beg for other people’s money on the streets, they are happy because they know there will be something to eat for that particular day and they will be able to continue living in this cruel world. Life isn’t fair, and will never will but life has to continue no matter what.
The next time when you get your pay check, wouldn’t it be great if you could spare some cents into the waiting hands of some of these suffering children? They are kids, yet they suffer more than a lot of other adults in this world. At least when you hand over the little change you have in your pocket to these suffering little children, they are allowed to peep into the glimpse of little hopes of the future even if it is just for a few seconds. Maybe with the coins you give them, these children can build a huge dream, a wonderful dream that can one day be turned into reality. A donation to your favorite charity will make you feel better and hopefully improve the day to day living conditions of at least one child.
